LNHS Home Meet # 1

On
August 23, 2016 Lake Norman High School hosted their very first 5k
cross country meet at Stumpy Creek Park in Mooresville. Six high schools
came out to the North Piedmont Conference opener; North Lincoln,
Alexander Central, West Iredell, South Iredell, North Iredell, and Lake
Norman.
Evan
Harris, a senior from Lake Norman High School got first place out of 55
Varsity boys from all the schools, his time was 17:17.23. Mason Dupler
who was the next fastest Lake Norman runner with an eighth place finish,
clocking in at 18:50.95. Cody McCahill, was the next to cross the line in seventeenth place with a time of
19:20.74. Not too far behind Cody was Jacob Ennis with a time of
19:37.30 which secured him with a position of twenty-first. Michael
Reitmeyer came in twenty eighth place with a time of 20:08.75. Following
him was Brennen Oliver in thirty fourth place with a time of 21:13:79,
and only 00:00.20 behind him was Dylan Montgomery in thirty fifth place.
And behind them came in Logan Montgomery in thirty ninth place with a
time of 22:00.91. In forty eighth place Jacob Thompson came in with a
time of 23:46.33, and in forty ninth place behind him was Bryson Barron
with a time of 24:13.22. Lake Norman High School Boys Varsity team
placed third overall in the team competition; North Lincoln secured
first, Alexander Central second, North Iredell brought home fourth,
South Iredell fifth, and West Iredell finished up with a sixth place
finish.
For
the Lake Norman Girls Varsity, Holly Bailey, a senior at Lake Norman,
took first place out of all the 49 Varsity girls who ran with a time
of 21:04.83. Following behind her was Kylee Frady in third place overall
with a time of 21:58.34. MJ (Miranda) Shoemaker in fourth with
22:21.82. Jessica Wynblatt secured seventh place overall with a time of
23:23.04. Not too far behind her was Elly Huecker in ninth place with
23:28.51. Allie Wilson finished thirteenth place with a time of
24:36.94. Sydney Cook, a freshman, finished with a time of 24:53.90 which placed her in the seventeenth place, with Kaleigh Stolberg in twenty third and a
time of 26:09.96. Abigail Siegfried finished twenty seventh place with a
time of 26:21.16, and in thirty second place ran Diana Jasany with her
time of 27:10.83. Lake Norman High School Girls Varsity team took the
overall win, followed by North Lincoln, Alexander Central, West Iredell,
South Iredell, and North Iredell.
